Mask & Picture as a Symbol
- Insert a picture (like a photo from a digital camera) File>Import
- Convert to Symbol

- Insert a keyframe at 65 on the timeline

- Name this first layer: picture

- Insert a new layer
- Name this layer: mask
- Draw an object on the layer: Convert to symbol
- Insert a keyframe at 65 on the timeline on the mask layer

- Move the object to a new spot on stage
- Create a motion tween on the mask layer

- Hold down the control key on the keyboard and click on the
layer name:mask; pull down on the menu to mask. (Havent
you saved yet?)
- Control: test movie.
- Add a new layer; name it STOP
- Insert a keyframe at 65 on the timeline on the mask layer

- From Window on the menubar, choose ACTIONS

- Open movie controll
- Drag STOP to the action space on the lower right
hand side of the ACTIONS window. A manuscript a will appear
in keyframe 65
on the STOP layer.
- Control: test movie
Cool, right?
Other things to try:
Since the picture is a symbol, you could click on the first keyframe and
set the alpha so that it appears to fade in.
Use shapes and a shape tween rather than a motion tween in the mask layer.
Change the stage color to black so that the mask lifts out
of the screen.
