Create a circle on the stage in the upper left hand corner. Go to Insert on the menubar and Convert to Symbol (graphic).
Double click the words "Layer 1" and type " blue circle". Click in frame 30 of the timeline. Go to Insert on the menubar and Insert Keyframe. It should look like this:
Use the Arrow Tool from the Tools Panel and move the blue circle to the lower right hand corner of the stage. Be sure that you have Frame 30 on the timeline selected when you move the circle. Now, if you push return, the Timeline will play what is on the stage. The blue circle will start at the upper left hand corner and when it gets to frame 30, will suddenly be in the lower right hand corner. Interesting, but not smooth! Now, select the entire layer, either by clicking on the words
blue circle once or by clicking anywhere in the area between layers
1 and 30. You'll know it's selected when the segment turns black.
Go to Insert and pull down to Create Motion Tween.
It should now look like this: Grab that red bar and move it back and forth along the timeline. Watch what happens to the ball! All the "in-between" frames are now drawn. You can also hit return to "play" the timeline. Want it to take a longer time? Play the timeline now. You can also create the "Tween" in MX from the Properties Window. |
