Multiage Education

Oak Park School District #97 began using a multiage classroom model at some of its schools in 1991. Research conducted in the classrooms showed gains in student acheivement, in academics, and in social development at a rate beyond schools with the same student demographic using traditional classroom models. Oak Park's model is based on models used in other schools in the country and on current research in the field. Both parents and students find multiage programs successful.
