The mission of Oak Park Elementary School District 97 is to guarantee that each student achieves optimal intellectual growth while developing socially, emotionally, and physically through a system distinguished by:

2012-2013 School Improvement Team

Facilitate communication among all stakeholders, improve staff development, support instructional teams, improve the quality of parent-school communication, and improve the effective use of data about students' educational and behavioral progress.

2012-2013 PBIS (Positive Behavior Intervention and Support) Team

Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS) is a proactive systems approach to establishing the behavioral supports and social culture and needed for all students in a school to achieve social, emotional, and academic success. As a Response to Intervention model, PBIS applies a three-tiered system of support, and a problem-solving process to enhance the capacity of schools to effectively educate all students.

2012-2013 PTO

The Whittier PTO is an all volunteer, non-profit organization dedicated to helping the students of Whittier Elementary receive the best education possible. The PTO consists of an elected leadership team, volunteer committee chairs, and lots and lots of parents/guardians and faculty/staff who donate their time and energy to make the programs the PTO supports a success. whittierpto.org/Home.php
