Join the District 97 Committee for Legislative Action, Intervention and Monitoring (C.L.A.I.M.) on Thursday, Sept. 20, at 7 p.m. for "CLAIM Your Voice: A Slice of Reality." The event will feature a discussion about education funding in Illinois led by Ralph Martire, the executive director of the Center for Tax and Budget Accountability.

The event will be held at Julian Middle School, 416 S. Ridgeland Ave.
