Arbor Day, 2008 As a  part of this year's Arbor Day celebration, representatives from the Morton Arboretum helped our students to plant  a new tree that was donated to theschool.

Robin Preiss Glasser, the illustrator of the Fancy Nancy series of books, visted Whittier in October of 2008. It was a wild and fancy tea party.

The Annual Pumpkin Festival saw some interesting entries this year. Check out some of the creative submissions that we had this year.

Turkey Trot, 2008 Every year, runners in third through fifth grade compete every year to win a turkey. Competitors make three laps around Taylor Park. The first student to complete the course from each grade level takes home a frozen turkey.

The Harvest Dance, 2008 Donations to the Oak Park Food Pantry are made as admission to this annual soiree. Limbo, The Macarana, and the Cupid Shuffle have kids moving and jumping all over the gym.
