Welcome to fourth grade where learning is FUN every day!! I look forward to working with you and your child as we enjoy new learning experiences together. It is my belief to keep communication open in order to have a successful year for students and parents. Therefore, I will be updating my Web page often with information regarding assignments, any special projects, tests, and school information. ASSIGNMENT NOTEBOOK – This planner is a vital organizational tool for fourth graders. Each student will have his/her own assignment notebook, which will provide daily communication between the classroom and home and will include homework assignments, upcoming events, and important messages. It is important and helpful that a parent/guardian sign the planner each night.
HOME FOLDERS – Students will use their pocket folder for a Home Folder. Any papers your child needs to complete for homework will be inside this folder. All notes and homework that need to come back to school should be sent in the home folder. Please check the home folder and assignment notebook every night.
HEALTHY SNACK/ WATER BOTTLES – We will be taking a snack break each morning so please send your child with a HEALTHY NUT-SAFE snack to enjoy mid-morning. No snacks containing nuts or prepared on a surface where nuts were present can be brought into our classroom. Snacks should be child-friendly so they can be eaten quickly enabling your child to continue working. :). I also recommend students bring a water bottle to class to help stay hydrated throughout the day.
