Vision and Hearing Screenings

Vision and hearing screenings are provided annually to students in mandated grade levels as designated by the State of Illinois through the Illinois Department of Public Health. Information is available on the state's website at http://dph.illinois.gov/topics-services/prevention-wellness/vision-hearing.

Please note that Vision screenings are not a substitute for a complete eye exam and vision examination by an eye doctor. Your child is not required to undergo the vision screening if an optometrist or ophthalmologist has completed and signed a report indicating that an eye examination has been administered within the previous 12 months. More informaton on Vision and Hearing screening can be found in the appropriate tab on the left of this page.
