Halloween Fun and Service Learning at Julian Middle School

This past Tuesday many students and staff dressed in their costumes for Halloween. The Service Learning Club asked that anyone that wore a costume bring in canned foods and/or nonperishable food items. As a result, we had hundreds of food products that were brought to school and then donated to the Oak Park Food Pantry. In addition to this, we are encouraging students and staff to bring their surplus Halloween candy to school between November 1-7. The candy will be shipped directly to our troops overseas and to bases here in the United States. This program offers us the opportunity to thank those in the armed services for all that they do for our country!
