Nourish to Flourish Update

We are doing an awesome job of keeping up with our "Nourish to Flourish" campaign here at Beye School. So far we have focused on the areas of breakfast, sleep, exercise, and heart health in January and February. In the month of March, which is National Nutrition Month, we will be focusing on nutrition. We will also be having our first P.A.C.K. week from March 22-26, where we will be focusing on packing more fruits and vegetables into each and every day and wearing the color of the day. Please click here to see tips for nutrition, including the specifics for each day of P.A.C.K. week.

5th Grade Breakfast

Our 5th grade students enjoyed a healthy breakfast here at Beye School. The students learned the benefits of eating a healthy breakfast on their body and how it can help them become better learners in school. A special thank you goes out to Chef Chuck Vales of Winberie's for donating his time to prepare the omelets, as well as Ellen Pimentel for purchasing the food and ingredients (paid for by PTO), and Debbie Weeks for helping set up the breakfast. Click here for more photos.

First Nation Projects

Ms. Johnson's fifth graders have been assembling blogs to publish their learning during the First Nation unit in social studies. Here are a few for you to enjoy:

Donations Needed

Parents the PBIS Team needs your help! As part of our school’s effort to enhance learning by improving positive behaviors, we are looking for fun, gently used trinkets to use as prizes for our PAW Passes. Any small items that are in good shape please collect and drop off to Ms. Janu-Chossek or Mrs. Foleno. Some examples are “happy meal” toys, fun pencils/erasers, matchbox cars, etc. Of course no toys of a violent nature please. Thank you for you dedication to helping all students succeed. It’s going to be a great year!
