Irving Kindergarteners Celebrate Black History Month with Living Wax Museum

Students in Mohogany Williams' kindergarten class at Irving Elementary School celebrated Black History Month on March 1 by putting on a living wax museum.

As part of the project, students researched and dressed up as notable African-American figures, such as Simone Biles, Bessie Coleman, Misty Copeland, Michael Jordan and Martin Luther King Jr.

Williams said the goal of the living wax museum was to honor the contributions of African Americans and bring their stories to life.
