Superintendent's Office

Dr. Terri Bresnahan joined District 97 as superintendent on July 1, 2026. She brings more than 30 years of experience in public education, including service as superintendent of Community Consolidated School District 59 and Berkeley School District 87. She began her career as a classroom teacher and has held leadership roles in curriculum, instruction and educational technology.

Dr. Bresnahan earned a bachelor's degree in elementary education from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, a master's degree in education from Azusa Pacific University, a doctorate in educational leadership from National Louis University, and a Certificate of Advanced Study in Administration and Supervision. She and her husband, Brian, have four children.
