Summer Student Empowerment 2014

for entering 6th, 7th and 8th grade Middle School Students (5 weeks)

Cost: $75 includes Morning and Afternoon Sessions, lunch and field trips (10:00 AM – 3:30 PM)
$50 includes Only Afternoon Sessions, lunch and field trips (12 Noon – 3:30)

Program Overview:

Summer Student Empowerment is a student achievement initiative that provides a schedule of organized activities which include leadership development, academic support and enrichment, Junior Achievement, martial arts, African Drumming and Dance, DrumLine, sports and games, field trips (including a trip to Cook county Jail and a college tour).  Lunch and field trip admissions are included in the fee.

Golden Apple tutors will instruct students daily to build academic skills. Students will also learn about history, through real life experiences, a variety of activities, and field trips. Some other planned trips include The DuSable Museum, and the Illinois Holocaust Museum.  To register please complete the application below and return to the Multicultural Center at Julian.
