Jasculca Resigns as Senior Director of Policy, Planning and Communication

Chris Jasculca has resigned from his position as the district’s senior director of policy, planning and communication to accept the position of director of communications for Hinsdale Township High School District 86.

The District 97 Board of Education is expected to accept Jasculca’s resignation during its meeting on Tuesday, Aug. 13. His final day will be Aug. 6.

The district will immediately begin searching for a director of communications, and will keep the community updated on the status of these efforts. Amanda Siegfried, the district’s digital communications coordinator, will oversee the day-to-day responsibilities of the department during the completion of the search process.

Below are statements from Superintendent Carol Kelley and Chris Jasculca regarding this announcement.

Statement from Superintendent Carol Kelley:
Chris Jasculca has been an incredible leader and valued member of the District 97 administrative team for the past 10 years. He has provided invaluable support and expertise to his colleagues while working tirelessly to share our successes, advocate for our vision, and build positive relationships in our schools, district and community. I want to thank Chris for his many years of dedicated service, and wish him the best as he begins his new role in District 86.

Statement from Chris Jasculca:
I have had the tremendous honor and privilege of serving District 97 and the Village of Oak Park for the past 10 years. During my time here, I have witnessed countless examples of how deeply this community believes in education, values our schools and cares for our children. I have marveled at the amazing work and tireless dedication of our faculty and staff. I have also watched our students accomplish amazing things both in and out of the classroom.

As I prepare to begin the next chapter of my career, I do so with great affection and appreciation for everything the district and village have done for me. I have been able to grow both personally and professionally over the past decade because this community has supported me and challenged me to be better each and every day. For that, I will always be grateful.
