Registration Open for D97 Virtual Summer Step Up Program 2021

As we know, not all students have experienced learning this school year in the same way. In an effort to mitigate some of the inequities that present themselves during the pandemic, District 97 is offering a supplemental virtual summer program to rising first- through eighth-grade students (students currently enrolled in kindergarten through seventh grade). This program is open to all students that could benefit from a two-week course focused on the previous year’s Trimester 3 standards/focuses.

This program is designed to ensure that the critical standards are revisited before the start of school in the fall while providing engaging and interactive experiences for students. Students will experience daily interaction with a District 97 teacher and engage in rich, high-quality reading, writing, and mathematics activities.

Students will have the opportunity to participate in a two week learning session, Monday through Friday July 26 through Aug. 6. These sessions are being offered either in the morning (8 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.) OR in the afternoon (12 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.). During each session, synchronous learning will occur for 120 minutes.

The details for the District 97 Virtual Step Up Summer 2021 Program are below.
