District 97 will hold a special board meeting on Nov. 30, 2021 at 6 p.m. The regular board meeting previously scheduled for Nov. 30 is canceled. The purpose of the special board meeting will be to review and discuss superintendent candidates. It will be conducted in closed session.
Over the past several months, families, staff and community members have shared input about the strengths of District 97 schools, the challenges the district is currently facing, what the new leader’s priorities should be and the professional and personal characteristics the next superintendent should have. The board will discuss the candidates in order to narrow the pool of applicants on Nov. 30. Interviews are expected to begin in December.
