During its regular meeting Feb. 13, the District 97 Board of Education approved the calendar for the 2024-25 school year (linked below).
District 97 School Calendar Highlights 2024-25
Please note that the calendar includes two notable changes from previous years.
1. First Day of School
- Date: Thursday, Aug. 22, 2024
- Change: The district will begin the year with three Institute Days rather than two. As a result, the first day of student attendance will be on a Thursday.
2. Family-Teacher Conferences
- Dates:
- Thursday and Friday, Oct. 24 and 25, 2024
- Thursday and Friday, Feb. 13 and 14, 2025
- Change: The district will not utilize half-days during conference week during the 2024-25 school year. Students will attend a full day of school Thursday, and will not be in attendance on Friday.
