On Wednesday, Oct. 30, the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) released the 2024 School Report Card, which provides a detailed look at each school’s progress on academics, student success, school culture and climate, and financial investments. The report cards are available at http://www.illinoisreportcard.com. All District 97 report cards are linked at https://www.op97.org/teach-learn/state-report-cards.
The Report Card gives us helpful data about how our district is doing, showing both our strengths and areas to grow. However, it doesn’t capture everything that makes our schools unique or tell the full story of our students' experiences. Our staff will be looking closely at the data, especially at information that relates to daily classroom learning. Our ultimate goal is for every student to succeed, as outlined in our commitment to racial and educational equity, and we are excited to keep making progress together as a community.
Throughout the 2024-25 school year, District 97 will be using data from the Illinois Report Card to support updates on our Transformation Goals and school improvement plans. You can learn more about the four D97 Transformation Goals in the Oct. 8 Board Highlights. If you have any questions about our Report Card data, please feel free to reach out to our team via Let’s Talk.
