Dr. Terri Bresnahan

Dr. Terri Bresnahan has served as superintendent of Oak Park Elementary School District 97 since July 2026. She brings extensive experience as a teacher, principal, district administrator and superintendent, having served in public education for more than three decades.

Prior to joining District 97, Dr. Bresnahan served as superintendent of Community Consolidated School District 59 and Berkeley School District 87. Throughout her career, she has been committed to fostering inclusive school communities, advancing educational equity, strengthening teaching and learning, and building meaningful partnerships with students, staff, families and community members.

Dr. Bresnahan holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, a master's degree from Azusa Pacific University, a doctorate in educational leadership from National Louis University, and a Certificate of Advanced Study in administration and supervision.
