IB Authorization Visit

On Monday, April 13th and Tuesday, April 14th three representatives from the International Baccalaureate Organization will be coming to Percy Julian Middle School to visit and evaluate the progress we have made implementing the IB program. On these days, the IB representatives will be touring the school and visiting classrooms as well as interviewing teachers, administrators, students, and members of the community. The goal of this visit is for them to learn about what school life is like for the students here at Julian. They want to see how staff members are incorporating the IB philosophy into classroom instruction and assess the overall environment of our building. We are excited to share all of the amazing things occurring, such as the engaging units teachers have created collaboratively, our IB ticket incentive program, improvements to the overall physical environment, the meaningful conversations students are having in classrooms, and the way students are seeing issues from multiple perspectives.

The International Baccalaureate Organization will let us know if we met the criteria to become an authorized IB school this summer.
