Julian Families,
We have completed our first week of school! It has been busy and hopefully your child is getting back into the routine of going to bed at a reasonable time and getting up early. Our PTO hosted a Back-to-School picnic last night here at Julian. It was great to see so many of you in attendance. What a great way to start off the school year!
Most of you are aware that we met the criteria to become an authorized International Baccalaureate (IB) World school. We are very excited and proud of this accomplishment. As it relates to IB, we will continue our work creating units and lessons that address the whole student. We are working on increasing student engagement through the use of technology and moving toward more small group instruction to meet the needs of all students. We also want to increase our frequency and type of communication that we have with parents and the community. You can expect to get regular updates about our initiatives and all of the great things going on here at Julian Middle School.
