Spring MAP Testing

On Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday of this week, Julian students will take spring MAP tests.  We spent some time today sharing fall and winter MAP scores with students during advisory class.  We are encouraging everyone to put forth their best effort on this final MAP assessment of the school year.

Hacking Hemingway & Percy Julian Middle School

Julian Middle School is excited to be partnering with the Oak Park Public Library on their Hacking Hemingway project which gives open access to never before seen artifacts from Ernest and Marcelline Hemingway’s early years in Oak Park. Julian students have been using Mr. Hemingway’s life and career to make history come alive and to make connections to their own lives today. (Read more about this project)

Ultimate Frisbee

Julian's ultimate frisbee team competed in a tournament down in Joliet and received the "Spirit Award".  This is a high honor, as having the best Spirit in ultimate is just as important as playing well . . . and they did that too!  The sport of ultimate is based upon the "Spirit of the Game" . . . Highly competitive play is encouraged, but never at the expense of mutual respect among competitors, adherence to the agreed upon rules, or the basic joy of play.

Jukebox Choir

Our Jukebox choir performed at the IGSMA State Festival and received a "1" Rating, which is the highest possible!  The group put on their best performance of the year. Congratulations to our students and Mr. Seymour. The Jukebox choir is comprised of the following students:
