What an amazing Harvest Dinner we had on Tuesday! It was so inspiring to see our school community sit down for a family dinner in celebration of this year’s fall Harvest. It was especially exciting to see some of our Hatch Patch founders who came back to celebrate with us after 10 years of school gardening. Many many thanks to our PTO and all our volunteers who helped make this experience a success. It took an enormous amount of “behind the scenes” work to make this event possible. We are extremely grateful to be a part of this special community! Thanks to our teachers for their suport, many of whom brought their own families to the celebration, as well as our custodial team for all their hard work in setting up and shutting down. Thank you also to our PTO volunteers for another successful Hatch Golf Outing last Saturday!
All parents are invited to attend our first PTO meeting of the year. It will begin at 7pm in the Library Media Center on Tuesday, September 26th. Please see below for more information and a number of PTO reminders.
Please see the District 97 News for updates on what’s hapening across Oak Park Schools!
PTO Reminders:
Mark your Calendars – the first PTO meeting of the year is Tuesday.
Join us for the first PTO meeting of the school year on Tuesday, September 26, at 7:00 p.m. in the library. We especially encourage new student families to come and learn about what the PTO does at Hatch. Just enter through the front door of the school and make your way up to the library on the second floor! There will be free childcare available in the art room.
At our first meeting, the newly formed diversity committee will talk about their plans for the year. We will also hear from Mrs. Mendez about updates that have taken place to the building, and the instructional enhancements teachers are working on in reading, writing and math.
The meeting will end at 8:00 pm sharp! See the agenda.
Taste of Hatch Patch – Thank you!
The PTO would like to thank Taste of Hatch Patch co-chairs Veronica Gonzalez, Angela Childers and Claudia Ceccarelli for putting together an amazing all-school dinner event. Meals for a Hatch family
A Hatch family in crisis could use the suport of our school community to provide meals. This is one of the aspects of our community that we love the most - we rally around each other when we are in need.
