Dear Hatch Families,
Thank you to our parents who helped out with the Great Apple Crunch this week as well as those who supported us in the making of our Cubs video. Mr. Jacobson and Mr. Righeimer did a fantastic job organizing this fun event for our students!
Conferences are next week! Our amazing PTO will be providing child care on our late night, Thursday the 19th from 12:30-7pm. Students will be dismissed at 10:55am both Thursday the 19th and Friday the 20th. While you are here for conferences, please take a moment to check the Lost and Found. All items not claimed with be donated to families in need after conference week. Also, please write your child’s name in any item that might find it’s way to the Lost and Found.
The Fall Celebration is at the end of this month. If room parents plan to serve food as part of the classroom celebration, the food plan must to be submitted to Nurse Rossi via e-mail no later than October 17. If you have not submitted a plan by October 17, then it is assumed that no food will be served at the celebration. The food chosen should be from the approved food list. So, please let Nurse Rossi know as soon as possible what you plan to serve. Thank you so much for your patience and cooperation in ensuring a safe celebration for all our children!
Hatch Library Needs Supplies
There are a number of materials that the Hatch Library needs to offer the students some exciting learning opportunities during our Makespace time in library. Please click here to sign-up to bring some supplies to the library when you come to attend your child's conference. Thank you very much for your support! To learn more about Makerspace in the library, check out this 2 minute video that does a wonderful job explaining the power of having Makerspace in the library! If you have any questions please email Erin Howe at [email protected].
Library Volunteer Opportunities
The library is also looking for volunteers to help shelve books, set-up bulletin boards, assist in organizing our graphic novels and fiction section of the library! The times are flexible and you sign-up as you are available. We only ask that you swing by for a quick orientation to learn your way around our library and how to check books in and out. Please sign-up for an orientation next week while you attend your conference and then you can sign-up for any volunteer times after that. Thank you so much for your help! If you have any questions please email Erin Howe at [email protected].

Tiger Cash:
Raise money for our PTO programs by buying a gift card or two every month, even for things you’d normally purchase such as gas and groceries. A percentage of each gift card comes back to the PTO.
Our first Tiger Cash order has been extended until October 20. Your child brought home more information and an order form. Also look for details on setting up an online account if you don’t want to turn in the paper form and check each month. You will need Hatch enrollment code 4691F82655677 to set up an online account. Questions? Contact Karen by email at [email protected] or 815-263-6660.
