Please be sure to complete the Illinois 5Essentials Survey that was sent from District 97 email. This is a unique opportunity to not only provide feedback to the school and district, but to support Hatch on a larger scale. School-level reports will be generated if at least 20 percent of parents respond to the survey. It should only take approximately 10 minutes to complete, and we are currently at 6%. Mann school has challenged us to a competition around parent participation, so please help us reach our goal. Thank you for your support!

As we head into winter recess, please encourage your child to make some time for reading during their break. Don’t forget Session 2 continues after the break. Session 2 classes end January 25. Sign up for the next session of fun and educational programming opens January 8.
Fun Fair Games manager
The Fun Fair is just around the corner and the co-chairs are looking for a carnival games manager. This position would involve making sure all the game and bounce house ‘operators’ have the supplies they need, answer questions, and help get new volunteers in place mid way through the fair. Illinois 5Essentials Survey
Parents please fill out a research survey about our school. The deadline for completing the Illinois 5Essentials survey is January 31. We’re hoping to get 20% of Hatch families participating so our administrators can view school-level data. https://op97.us1.list-manage.
Thankful Thursdays
Consider sending your child’s teacher a thank you note on Thursdays if something good happened during the week with your child. In addition, we’ll be providing treats in the teacher’s lounge every Thursday to support our Hatch staff for the rest of the school year. Here’s the sign up if you’d like to provide a treat.
Golf Outing
The PTO is looking for a parent or group of parents to manage the annual PTO Golf Outing. Planning starts in the spring for this well-organized Fall 2018 fundraiser. Please email [email protected] to sign up.
