We hope you enjoyed a lovely holiday break full of family and friends! It was wonderful to see so many smiling faces on Monday as we jumped back into our learning routines. You know you are in a truly special place when the children can’t wait to go back to school! Our students are especially grateful for the brand new basketball backboards provided by generous donations and the PTO. The new boards were installed over break and the floors were also refinished to give our gym a new look! We closed out the week with two amazing assemblies in celebration of the life of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. It was inspiring to see our students coming together to honor the message of Dr. King. Our choir led the musical performances and our fifth graders prepared their own original verse and performed a rap. Students of all ages participated in the assemblies which made the day so very special. Thank you to Mr. Jacobson for coordinating the event!
Please be sure to complete the Illinois 5Essentials Survey. This is a unique opportunity to not only provide feedback to the school and district, but to support Hatch on a larger scale. It should only take approximately 10 minutes to complete, and we are currently at 24%. Mann school has challenged us to a competition around parent participation, so please help us reach our goal. Thank you for your support!
