Message from Nov. 2, 2018

What a festive Halloween we had! Thank you to the many, many parent volunteers who worked so hard to make the 2018 Halloween Disco a huge success as well as all the room parents who helped organize the class celebrations on Wednesday. The weather was beautiful, and the kids had a blast!

The Hatch Student Council raised $209.50 in their first monthly Spirit Day/ #DoSomething event. The money will go to support the tuition assistance fund of the Wonder Works Children's Museum in Oak Park. Way to go, Hatch Tigers!

The Hatch staff wants to ensure we used Parent/Teacher Conferences effectively and that the time spent together discussing your child(ren)’s progress was helpful. The goals of Parent/Teacher Conferences are to effectively promote open lines of communication between home and school, keep parents informed about their child(ren)’s progress—both academically and socially— and for developing cooperative strategies that can ultimately benefit every student. As we look to grow our practices, we are asking for your feedback. Please take a few moments to answer the questions in this survey about your experience during Fall Conferences. This feedback will be used to enhances your future experience during this time. Thank you in advance for your support.

Next Tuesday, November 6th is a staff Institute Day dedicated to professional learning experiences designed to enhance the instructional practices we use in our classrooms, and there will be NO SCHOOL for students.

Just a reminder that Daylight Savings Time ends on Sunday. Don’t forget to turn your clocks back this weekend!
