Please be sure to complete this year’s Illinois 5Essentials Survey! This is a unique opportunity to not only provide feedback to the school and district, but to support Hatch on a larger scale. School-level reports will be generated if at least 20 percent of parents respond to the survey. It should only take approximately 10 minutes to complete. If parents have more than one child that attends the same school, they may elect to participate multiple times. For parents with children enrolled in multiple schools, we recommend that they participate in the survey for each school. Mann school has once again challenged us to a competition around parent participation, so please help us reach our goal. Thank you for your support!

October Birthday Books! We had a great month celebrating all the October birthdays with some great new books. Be sure to see all the smiles and new books in celebration of their birthdays! Just a reminder that Birthday books are to be returned to the library for other students to check out these great new books. Also, if you would like to learn more about this great program, please click here.
Check-Out what has been happening in the library at Hatch! October was a busy month in the library so be sure to check-out this great recap of all the learning!
Six Flags Read to Succeed is back! On Friday, November 9th, all students received their reading logs for this year's program! The goal is for the students to read 6 hours and record their reading on the log. When the log is complete, please turn it back into school no later than Friday, February 8, 2019. Then in May, your student will receive a free admission ticket to the park. Happy Reading!
Just a reminder that in order to chaperone field trips, a complete background check must be completed. This is a one time process that will remain valid during your tenure at Hatch. Background checks are by appointment only. Please click here to make an appointment for your background check. Thank you for supporting our students’ safety!
