Message from Sept. 21, 2018

What an amazing Harvest Dinner we had yesterday! It was so inspiring to see our school community sit down for a family dinner in celebration of this year’s fall Harvest. Many, many thanks to our PTO and all our volunteers who helped make this experience a success. It took an enormous amount of “behind the scenes” work to make this event possible. This year we harvested a total of 623 lbs of food from the Hatch Patch and 60 lbs from our orchard. We were able to donate 350 lbs of that harvest to the Oak Park Food Pantry! Thanks to our teachers for their support, many of whom brought their own families to the celebration, as well as our custodial team for all their hard work in setting up and shutting down.

Thank you also to our PTO volunteers for another successful Hatch Golf Outing last Saturday!

Fourth and fifth grade parents, please be on the lookout for your child’s PARCC scores, which were sent home today. The Partnership for Assessment Readiness for College and Careers (PARCC) test is the state-mandated test our 3rd-5th graders participated in last spring.

All parents are invited to attend our first PTO meeting of the year. It will begin at 7pm in the Library Media Center on Tuesday, September 25th. Please see below for more information and a number of PTO reminders.

Only 9 days left to receive 15% off  your purchase of the 2018-2019 Hatch Yearbook!  The 15% discount ends September 30th.  See attached flyer for more information.

There’s still time to change your “No to Directory” option to “Yes to Directory.”   If your student’s permission is “No to Directory,” he/she will NOT be in the Hatch School Directory.  Contact the office to make any changes.
