Thank you to those who attended “Coffee with the Principal” yesterday morning. It is wonderful to connect and hear about your experiences at Hatch!

Kudos to our dedicated staff who even give up their lunch break to learn new and innovative ways to design the highest quality instructional practices! At this week’s “Lunch and Learn,” teachers studied the importance of estimation in building number sense. Thank you to Ms. Chrystall for a great workshop!

We look forward to our annual Turkey Trot next Wednesday afternoon for 3rd-5th graders. If you are interested in volunteering, please contact Mr. Cruz.

This week our students returned to Second Step lessons and continued learning about feelings.  Our kindergartners and first graders learned that situational cues help us understand one another’s feelings. Our second graders learned about confidence and how practice can help them improve their skills at school and home. Our third graders learned about conflicting feelings within themselves and others.  Our fourth and fifth graders learned social skills such as starting a conversation, giving compliments, and disagreeing respectfully.  Next week our 3rd-5th graders will take the Panorama Culture and Climate Survey during their social-emotional learning time.
