Thanks for visiting my website.  I feel very fortunate to both live and work in the Longfellow community.  In my former life, I was an engineer, having graduated from Universit of Illinois with a degree in civil engineering.  I went back to Northwestern University and got a masters degree in education and have been teaching either 2nd or 3rd grade at Longfellow since 2005.  Two of my three children, Michael and Addy, currently attend Longellow.  2nd graders are naturally very curious and I try to build upon that curiosity in my classroom through exploratory, inquiry based learning.
