Middle Matters News from the Week of August 24, 2015

Hello Families!

We have arrived at the start of the school year! District 97 has completed the New Teacher Orientation and we are looking forward to our entire staff gathering on August 26th – 28th. As an IB World School, we will continue to our work creating units and lessons that address the whole student. We will work on increasing student engagement through the use of technology. We will move toward more small group instruction. We will continue to develop meaningful assessments and provide feedback to students so that they can reach their mastery goals. We also want to increase our frequency and type of communication that we have with parents and the community.

I love to be in the classroom to see what wonderful things are happening, so you should expect to hear more about our initiatives each week.
