What a week! We are well on our way to a great year. Teachers did tons of community building activities with students last week along with the front loading of expectations. We have lots of things happening this week and tons of info that you my find helpful.
MAP Testing (9/9 - 9/18)
What is MAP?...Measures of Academic Progress. It is a state aligned test that provides educator information on how to improve teaching and learning and make student focused, data driven decisions. Students are tested three times per year. Here is the MAP info sheet for your review.
PowerSchool Parent Portal Access & Canvas
Please be sure to use PowerSchool and Canvas to check on your student's progress in school.
- PowerSchool is where grades and attendance data are accessed. Check out the PowerSchool directions.
- Canvas is where you will find the weekly agendas, course syllabus, handouts, calendar of assignments and many other things. Keys to Canvas and login directions walk you through how to use this powerful tool.
CureSearch Walk for Isabelle Jones
The Princess Belle’s Friends team will be walking in the CureSearch Walk Chicago at Boomer’s Stadium in Schaumburg, IL, on September 20th in memory of Isabelle Jones, who lost her brave fight with brain cancer this past December. CureSearch funds critical pediatric cancer research, and the walk celebrates and honors children from the Chicago area who have been affected by children's cancer. Please go online to join the team as a walker, or make a donation. This very special day will include prizes, music, food, and fun activities for the entire family.
