Middle Matters from the Week of February 1st 2016

February is here! We have some exciting things happening in and around the school. Students are working on service projects, teachers are committing to observe their peers in practice and we are talking about black history in advisory. A big thanks to those of you who completed the Midyear Survey. Overall, there was great feedback. There is still some work to be done, but I know that as a collaborative group of stakeholders, we can get there. Thanks for your engagement.

• 70% agree that they receive prompt responses from teachers and the admin team
• 77% agree that discipline is handled swiftly
• 65% agree that Canvas is a useful tool
• 73% agree that grades are updated regularly
• 81% agree that the business procedures are easy to follow
• 81% agree that their student has had a positive experience at Brooks

You should have received an email from the district about the 5 Essentials survey for students. The middle schools will be taking care of the survey this week in Physical Education classes. Please see this attachment  for more details.
