I have been talking a lot about being caring and kindness lately. Taking that a step further, I think that as a community, we can focus on positivity a bit more. I found this list of 66 Positive Things to Say to Your Child that supports our work around the growth mindset. We are working tirelessly to change our language to build a strong academic mindset.
OPEF Base Camp
Returning Brooks students should check out the hands-on summer enrichment that will be happening right here at Brooks from June 20-July 15. There is still availability in camps like Claymation, Music Video, Architecture, Grrl Squad, Brain Builders, and Comics Creator or Minecraft (both taught by our own Mr. McDowell!). Mural Project and Computer Circuitry are also available, but not at Brooks. Learn more at opef.org/base-camp. Some need-based scholarships may still be available.
