Brooks Families:
As we prepare for Parent-Teacher Conferences, I want to share this article on Promoting a Growth Mindset in your child. It starts by making sure you have one yourself. This can be difficult for adults, but you can do it. As we think about what the future of education looks like, we have to start using our own experiences to shift the conversation.
Half Day Schedule
Thursday and Friday are half days for students. Please find the bell schedule attached .
Parent-Teacher Conferences
We are excited to welcome families on Thursday for conferences. This is a wonderful opportunity to build a strong relationship with your child's team of teachers.
Here are a few questions you may want to ask during conferences
How are creativity and innovative thinking used on a daily basis in your classroom?
How is critical thinking used on a daily basis in your classroom?
How are assessments designed to promote learning rather than simple measurement?
What can I do to support literacy in my home?
What kinds of questions do you suggest that I ask my children on a daily basis about your class?
