Brooks Families:
We closed last week looking at opportunity structures in the district and school...structures that promote equity and access and those that are obstacles. As a staff we had some thoughtful conversations about how we can make sure each and every child feels like they belong at Brooks. That means looking at the adult connections, student involvement in activities, and how we see our children.
This is hard work, but I am confident, that the work that is being done across our district with our Vision Alignment, Curriculum Alignment and Leadership Development...that we are getting closer to providing an positive learning environment that is inclusive, equitable and focused on the whole child.

Congrats to VEX Robotics!!!
Our VEX team competed last weekend. Over half the teams made it to the semi final matches and two teams made it to the final matches. Though we did not qualify for state, I want to thank our dedicated coaching staff (Mr. McDowell, Mr. Bishop and Mr. Olson) and our VEX team for all of their hard work.
