Brooks Upcycled Art Extravaganza Had a Packed House

Students in Mrs. Murray's and Mrs. Williams's classes used found/unwanted objects and turned them into one-of-a-kind works of decorative and functional art, which was showcased at The Bottle Rocket Gallery.

The first annual Brooks Art Department Upcycling Extravaganza Fundraiser occurred at The Bottle Rocket Art Gallery on Saturday, May 30, from 5:30-8:30 PM. It was a packed house of artists and art lovers alike. Students in Mrs. Murray's and Mrs. Williams's classes saved the environment one piece of art at time. They used found/unwanted objects and turned them into one-of-a-kind works of decorative and functional art. Items for sale included painted chairs and ottomans, mosaics, refurbished cigar boxes, wall hooks, jewelry, faux stained glass on old windows and more!!

Thank you to our silent auction donors: YogaKids, Kay's Bakery, Bua Hana, Jimmy's Place, Fat Duck, Brown Cow, Francesca's, Junction Diner, The Little Bits Workshop, Artwork from Mrs. Williams, Mrs. Murray, Emily Tague, Cheryl Spran, Zenith Paper Arts Studio, Arts and Culture students.
