Welcome to Mrs. Cahill's website

Hello and welcome to my website. I am honored to serve as a Special Services Coordinator for two elementary schools in our district, Whittier and Holmes. I began my career in Oak Park District 97 in 2002 as a school social work intern at Holmes School. Although my career led me to the northern suburbs of Chicago for almost ten years after that, I always held a special place in my heart for Oak Park.  In 2013, I moved to Oak Park and joined the team at Longfellow School as an administrator. The physical, emotional, and social safety of our students and staff is of upmost importance to me!  In District 97 I am lucky to have had the experience co-leading culture and climate at Longfellow School and the opportunity to coach systems and practices around SEL and positive behavior supports as a Culture and Climate Coach.  In my current role as a Special Services Coordinator, I support staff and families who are navigating special services such as Section 504 Plans and Individualized Education Programs (IEP's).  Please do not hesitate to reach out to me or say hello as you see me around school or the community!
