Dear Beye Staff and Families,
District 97 is beginning the search for the individual who will serve as the next principal of Beye Elementary School. One of the first steps in this process will be to create a profile of the ideal candidate for the position that is based on feedback from the school’s students, staff and parents/guardians. To help us gather this information, we created a brief survey that the Beye community can use to share their thoughts about the leadership qualities and characteristics they believe the next principal should possess. Virtual Town Halls for Staff and Families
We will host virtual town halls for staff and families to share their thoughts on the next principal of Beye.
- Staff: Tuesday, March 8, 3:15 p.m. to 4 p.m.
- Families: Wednesday, March 9, 5:30 p.m. to 6:15 p.m.

Interview Process and Staff and Parent/Guardian Interview Teams
Once the principal profile is built from stakeholder input, we will use it to perform an initial screening of applicants for the position. Through that screening, we will select the candidates who will be invited to participate in interviews with staff members, parents/guardians and district/school administrators. We have tentatively these interviews to take place in person on Wednesday, March 23.
If you are interested in serving on the staff or parent/guardian interview teams, please complete this form by Thursday, March 10.
The school-based teams will identify the top candidates who will be invited to participate in interviews with Dr. Ushma Shah and other administrators from central office. They will then utilize all of the information and feedback collected to select the individual who will be presented to the Board of Education for appointment to the position, pending the results of a comprehensive background check. Our current goal is to complete this entire process by mid-April.
