Keisha Helm has served in Oak Park Elementary School District 97 for 5 years. For 4 years, she served as a first grade classroom teacher and currently she serves the role as a kindergarten teacher at William Beye Elementary School. Keisha is especially good at creating a culturally responsive learning environment that greatly supports each child’s academic, social and emotional, and physical needs. Using a variety of instructional strategies, Keisha is driven to create a classroom setting that promotes hands-on and meaningful learning. While focused on building strong relationships and being a positive role model to her students, Keisha also strives to create an accepting community of lifelong, independent learners.
