Parent-Teacher Advisory Committee

Committee Charge

The committee is charged with:

• Reviewing/revising the guidelines that are featured in the Intergovernmental Agreement we have with the Village of Oak Park regarding the reciprocal reporting of information regarding criminal offenses committed by students.
• Reviewing/revising the guidelines associated with the district's student behavior policy.
• Helping the school administration and school bus personnel establish and maintain school bus safety procedures. 
• Reviewing/revising the guidelines of administering medication in school.
• Helping the Board of Education and administration develop rules and regulations regarding parent notification and early intervention procedures for students who have demonstrated behaviors that put them at risk for engaging in aggressive behavior that includes, but is not limited to, bullying.

Members

PTAC membership shall be consistent with the goals of Policy 2:150 and include, but not be limited to:

• Two current and/or former District 97 students
• Two members of the District 97 Board of Education
• Four District 97 teachers
• Four District 97 parents/guardians
