5th Grade

COUNTRY PROJECT

Your country project should include the following:

1. completed note taking sheet (click for an example)
2. written narration (click to read a good example) with a completed bibliography

  • This should include: a paragraph with general information about your country,  a chronology of your day (what you do in the morning, at school, after school, on the weekends) and then other interesting facts (do you celebrate any interesting holidays? What kinds of food do you traditionally eat?). Go here and here for two docs with outlines.
  • If you want to have a name that is authentic to the country you are studying, check out this website which allows you to search by language (not country).
  • Upload your narrative to Google Classroom.

3.  iMovie (see below for an example)

  • Go here to watch a video Ms. Conway made, giving you a tutorial in adding pictures and captions in iMovie and go here to watch a video for how to create a narration.
  • Upload your movie to Google Docs.

4. Add your country to Google Maps. Ms. Maneck will share your class's map with you. Then you can watch your classmates' videos.
