Last Chance to Offer Feedback on D97's Draft Equity Policy

In April, the District 97 Board of Education began working with its Committee for Community Engagement to collect feedback on the draft of the district's equity policy. The board's policy committee is getting ready to update the draft using the input, ideas and suggestions that were submitted by students, staff, parents/guardians and community members during the past five months. The goal is to present the board with an updated version of the policy for review and discussion during its meeting on Nov. 13 and approval during its meeting on Nov. 27.

However, before that occurs, the board wants to provide the community with one more opportunity to weigh in on the draft, which can be accessed by visiting http://bit.ly/2N57bmW. You can share any final thoughts about the policy by visiting the district's Let's Talk page (http://www.k12insight.com/Lets-Talk/embed.aspx?k=WR5D6TLT) or by emailing [email protected] between now and Nov. 1.

Thank you for your time and attention to this important issue, and for your continued support of our schools and the children we serve.
