On February 21, 2015, eight members of the Brooks Middle School Math Team participated in the Regional MathCounts Competition that was held at the CNA Building in downtown Chicago.
The team of Gordon Anderson, Prachi Mehendale, Evan Kelly, and Rebecca Lu earned second place in their division, while Anderson's individual score qualified him for the state competition on March 7, 2015.
The students from Brooks who took part in the competition on February 21 included:

The team was coached by teachers Anna Kinnaman and Amanda Skubinna, with special assistance from OPRF High School freshman Jonathan Banks.
