MyD97

The District 97 Board of Education adopted an equity policy in 2019 that seeks to promote a strong sense of belonging in all of our schools, and is aimed at ensuring that every student we serve has access to an excellent and equitable education. We know that we cannot achieve equity without effectively engaging all of our students, staff, families and community members. As part of our renewed commitment to keep stakeholders informed and engaged, we launched a communications campaign, "MyD97."

As part of our commitment, we use social media and our "Weekly Wrap-Up" eNewsletter to share regular updates on the district's equity work and ways that the community can get involved.

'Making MyD97 Better' Award Making D97 better

Do you know someone—a teacher, staff member, parent, student or community member—who is helping to make D97 a better place for all? CLICK HERE to share their story and nominate them for a "Making MyD97 Better" Award!

Each month, an individual will be selected, and will receive a gift card for a local business—plus they’ll be highlighted on the district website and social media pages. The great work being done shouldn’t be a secret. Let’s share and celebrate it as part of “MyD97.”
