Michael Pikowski, the parent of an eighth grader at Julian Middle School and freshman at OPRF High School, died by suicide on January 30, 2013. On Saturday, September 26, his wife (Jennifer), daughter (Celia) and son (Sam) will participate in the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP) community walk in his honor.
AFSP funds research to help "prevent suicide, raise awareness, and end the stigma that surrounds depression and other mental disorders."
