Below are updates from the Board of Education meeting that was held on Tuesday, October 13.
- The board received anannual report from the district’s special education department.
- The board received a report featuring information about/results from the district’s summer programs, including Prep for Success, Extended School Year, Middle School Math Enrichment and Music Camp.

- The board approved the School Recognition Applications for all 10 District 97 schools. These applications, which can be accessed by clicking here, verify that the district's schools comply with the Illinois School Code and the rules established by the Illinois State Board of Education.
- The board received a report regarding the Freedom ofInformation Act requests the district had processed since the Board of Education meeting on Monday, September 28.
- The board reviewed arecommendation regarding the 2015-16 salaries for the district's food service employees.
- The board reviewedinformation from the Lincoln PTO regarding its proposed plan to use the money raised in conjunction with its annual Fun Run to make enhancements/upgrades to the school's auditorium.
- The board reviewed thedraft agenda for its meeting on Tuesday, October 27.
