Board Meeting Update - December 20

Below are updates from the Board of Education meeting that was held on Tuesday, December 20.

1. The board received a report featuring a summary and evaluation of the district's 2016 summer programs

2. The board approved the following items on the consent agenda:

3. The board approved the depositories and signatories for the district's bank accounts. 

4. The board approved a draft resolution and draft agreement related to a recommendation that the district continue its membership to the Illinois Energy Consortium and change the address of the administration building in conjunction with the renewal of the membership. 

5. The board approved a proposed donation from the Oak Park Education Foundation. 

6. The board approved the charge for its new Committee for Community Engagement.

7. The board received a report from Superintendent Kelley that featured updates on her goals and key performance indicators, as well as the goals of the following district departments.

8. The board received a report from the member who serves as the liaison to the Intergovernmental Committee.

9. The board reviewed a draft motion authorizing the superintendent to begin preparing the tentative budget for Fiscal Year 2018 and a proposed budget calendar

10. The board received an update on the next phase of the district's central office reorganization

11. The board received an update on the implementation of the Writing Units of Study, and recommendations for K­-5 literacy instruction for
the 2017­-18 school year.
