Board Meeting Update - February 14

Below are updates from the Board of Education meeting that was held on Tuesday, February 14, 2017.

1. The board discussed the latest information/updates regarding the two referenda questions that will placed on the ballot on April 4, 2017, including what will happen if the referenda fail.

2. The board approved the minutes from itsregularly scheduled meeting on January 24, 2017 and special board meeting on January 30, 2017

3. The board approved the following items on the consent agenda:

4. The board approved arecommendation from the administration to conduct a demographic study related to student enrollment.

5. The board approved the surety bonds that included the December 2016 Series Bond as well as other bond issues.

6. The board approved base bids, alternates and associated expenses related to the capital projects the district is scheduled to complete this summer.

7.The board directed the administration to issue a request for proposal for general and special education transportation.

8. The board reviewed a revised version of the proposed calendar for the 2018-19 school year.

9. The board reviewed arecommendation from the administration to issue a request for proposal for custodial services.

10. The board reviewed arequest from the administration to accept a donation of computers from Salesforce.

11. The board reviewed arecommendation from the administration to issue a request for proposal for landscaping services.

12. The board reviewed arecommendation from the administration to enter into a one-year agreement with Hub International Midwest Limited for insurance management and consulting services.

13. The board reviewed the draft agenda for its regularly scheduled meeting on February 28, 2017.

14. The board reviewed proposed revisions to its parking lot and long-term calendar.

15. The board received the Monthly Treasurer's Report for November 2016.
